The Footcandle Film Society, in partnership with the Lenoir-Rhyne University Visiting Writers Series, will be screening the film EVERYTHING IS ILLUMINATED on Wednesday, September 4th at the Carolina Theater in Downtown Hickory. The showtime is 7:00pm.
The film is based on an autobiographical novel written by Jonathan Safran Foer, who will be a guest speaker with the Visiting Writers Series in Hickory on September 12th. The film screening is free to all Footcandle Film Society Visiting Writers Series members. All other seats are $5.00 at the door.
About the film: (Comedy / Drama) A young Jewish American man (Jonathan Safran Foer, played by Elijah Wood) endeavors to find the woman who saved his grandfather during World War II in a Ukrainian village, that was ultimately razed by the Nazis, with the help of an eccentric local.
This film is rated PG-13 for disturbing images/violence, sexual content and language.
