Footcandle Film Society will be screening director Wes Anderson’s latest film “Isle of Dogs” on Wednesday, May 9th and Thursday, May 10th at 7pm at the Carolina Theater in downtown Hickory.  Screenings are free for society members, guests (provided seating is available at 6:50) may purchase tickets at the door for $5.

About the film:

When, by executive decree, all the canine pets of Megasaki City are exiled to a vast garbage-dump called Trash Island, 12-year-old Atari sets off alone in a miniature plane and flies across the river in search of his bodyguard-dog, Spots.

This is director Wes Anderson’s second stop-motion film.  It features voice work from several longtime collaborators including Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Ed Norton.  Footcandle screened Anderson’s live action film Moonrise Kingdom in 2012.
